JESSICA JENSEN
Senior Certified STOTT PILATES® Instructor
Jessica first practiced Pilates as part of her own rehab regimen following an accident resulting in a severely fractured vertebrae. Following her own quick and lasting recovery, she became a firm believer in STOTT PILATES®, a contemporary method which includes modern principles of exercise science and rehabilitation. After intensive training at Pacific Northwest Pilates in Portland, Oregon, Jessica became certified to work with all levels of Mat and Reformer as well as those with post injury rehab and other special conditions. She has trained to work with people who have conditions such as pregnancy, autoimmune disorders, fibromyalgia, diabetes, arthritis, scoliosis, osteoporosis—and people with specific injuries, such as disc herniations, patellofemoral syndrome, and shoulder impingement.
As a longtime dancer and dance instructor, Jessica has always believed that a healthy body is the key to personal well-being. Proper muscular training through Pilates can ensure your body maintains it’s ideal alignment and can prevent future injuries. Jessica believes that everyone, no matter what age or skill level can benefit from Pilates.
CASSIDY FERREIRA
Certified STOTT PILATES® Instructor (Located in Bradenton)
As a child, Cassidy’s love of movement found expression in the study of dance and gymnastics. Growing up, however, she struggled to find activities that wouldn’t flair her asthma. The focus on breath in pilates as a catalyst for both tension release and optimal physical performance struck a chord with her from the get-go. Having participated in various other types of fitness over the years including tennis, swimming, and badminton, Cassidy began, as an adult, to feel a growing urge for some form of workout which could improve her strength and flexibility and speak back to the buoyant quality of her childhood joy in movement. Enter STOTT PILATES®!
Cassidy was first introduced to STOTT PILATES® after moving to Florida in 2014 from California, where she was born and raised. Inspired by the results she felt in her own body, she was inspired to begin a career path toward becoming a certified STOTT PILATES® instructor. She credits pilates with improving her posture and having a positive effect on her overall health.
She particularly loves sharing the benefits of this form of mindful movement with her clients, and helping them to become consistently stronger and happier about the way their bodies feel and move.
